Condemn the terrorist bomb blasts in Hyderabad

Both the principal parties of the ruling class, Congress Party and BJP, have very little credibility amongst the masses of working people. The bourgeoisie is hell bent on pushing ahead with the program of globalization through liberalization and privatization by attacking the livelihood and rights of the toilers and tillers. Polarising society on communal lines, spreading terror and breaking the unity of the people, and spreading jingoism against Pakistan are their favourite weapons to ensure that they can implement their plans.

Sixteen people have lost their lives and over a hundred injured following bomb blasts in the crowded market place of Dilsukhhnagar in Hyderabad on February 21, 2013. The Communist Ghadar Party of India condemns this dastardly act and shares the grief of those who have lost their loved ones and of the injured and their families.

Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde says that it is too early to say who was behind these blasts.  At the same time, it is being propagated daily through the monopoly corporate media that these blasts were the handiwork of the so called Indian Mujahideen, which is allegedly working for the Lashkar-e- Toiba based in Pakistan.  This shows that the Home Minister is only striking a pose to deceive the people.

Once again, as has happened countless times in the past, youth belonging to the Muslim faith are being rounded up and tortured. A street vendor who was seriously injured in this blast, and had earlier been injured in the Mecca Masjid blast, is being pronounced as a prime suspect, simply because he happens to be a Muslim and was present in both places. It is to be noted that the entire case against Muslim youth who were arrested and tortured for the Mecca Masjid blast has been exposed to be false and it is now public knowledge that the police forces deliberately framed these innocent people.

There is a lot of talk about the “signature” of bomb blasts as if guilt can be established merely because of using a similar technique. Signatures can be and are often forged. The issue that people should look at is not so much the techniques used, but who benefits from this terror attack.

The US imperialists are, for example, past masters at this game of carrying out terrorist attacks all over the world in the name of this or that shadowy organization. The Indian state is also a past master at this game.  For instance, in the days of the Punjab crisis in the eighties and nineties, policemen used to dress in civilian clothes and carry out the killings of people of Hindu faith.  Such covert state terror was used to justify the repression of Sikh youth as well as to create a communally surcharged atmosphere. Over the past three decades, the ruling class of our country has used terrorism and state terrorism time and again to achieve its political aim.

The intelligence agencies of the government have been carrying on mischievous propaganda that “Muslim terrorist groups” want to “avenge” the hanging of Afzal Guru. The Hyderabad blasts are being painted in this light. However, the hanging of Afzal Guru was condemned by the entire Kashmiri people, including organizations of Kashmiri Pandits. It has been condemned by all men and women of conscience in our country. To present the bomb blasts in Hyderabad as a “reaction of Islamic fundamentalists” is a deliberate lie to inflame communal tensions and turn people’s anger against people of the Muslim faith and against Pakistan.

At this time, both the principal parties of the ruling class, Congress Party and BJP, have very little credibility amongst the masses of working people. The Communist Ghadar Party of India calls upon the working class and people to be wary of the game plans of the bourgeoisie and its principal parties.

  1. The writing is on the wall.

The writing is on the wall. It does not require more than common sense to figure out who would be behind this horrendous attack. It is no surprise that this followed the nation wide strike by working class, cutting across party-line. The methods are known, the aims are clear. Use communal terror to divide people. Who else would have organised the attack, other than those who stand to gain most from it – the runling classes, the bourgeisoe, through their state appratus and numerous organs which serve it.

They will not stop at this. They will organise further such attacks, along with daily attack on the life and livelihoods of the people. Working class and people must be vigilant, and organise and prepare to overthrow the rule of the bourgeosie and establish the rule of workers and peasants.
