Workers of Coal India are gearing up for a fight!

The Indian government has proposed to hand over 160 underground mines to private companies as part of the National Monetization Policy.

Along with this, the government has also announced its decision to sell 25 per cent of the shares of Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL), Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) andCentral Mine Planning and Design Institute (CMPDI). The government has also announced its intention to merge the CMPDI with Mineral Exploration and Consultancy Limited (MECL).

Workers of Coal India Limited (CIL) are extremely angry and upset at this proposal and they are steadfast in their decision to oppose the anti-worker attacks.
