We are happy to announce the launch of the new website for CGPI.org

The website has been enhanced with better search facilities, catagorisation and keywording, easy navigation and better organisation of the content. It enables more social networking and outreach using: Twitter, YouTube, MEL e-newsletters, RSS feeds and you can simply click buttons to automatically copy the articles you like to your Facebook wall, which is shared with your social circles. Security and privacy has been significantly advanced.

…the aim is to reach-out to a larger section of ever expanding working class, with these advanced web tools offering easier interactivity, faster communication and simpler connectivity, whilst maintaining your privacy and security.

Why now?

The site is lanuched to coincide with the election campaign in Tamilnadu, where party comrades are contesting as peoples’ candidates selected by lok raj samitis of workers, peasants, women, youth in public meetings across the state, popularising the Party Programme.

Can I access the previous system?

Legacy data will be available to readers through archive.cgpi.org, so that readers are able to access all the previous issues and articles, while the data is being migrated to the new site.

Please note that the domain migration process may take upto 48 hours to get into effect, during which time the site may be down. In case you have problems accessing any sites after that, please write to us: info@cgpi.org

So what’s new at CGPI.org ?

We appreciate your patience while we transition from the old site to the new. Please ensure to change any Favorites / Bookmarks you have, to point to the content on this new site as URLs will have changed.

Find What You Want Faster

The new site offers easier search capabilities and classification of the articles most relevant to you. Articles are now broken down by:

  • Section: Information about CGPI such as Statements, Consultations or Publications, Campaigns, or a full breakdown of MEL categories makes it easier for you to find what you need.
  • Subject Matter: subject and keywords can be found at the bottom of each article. Related content is suggested in the sidebar. In the MEL section a comprehensive search tool exists.
  • Date: article listings are displayed in date order where valid.
  • Region: city, state, country.

Stay Easily Updated

  • MEL Newsletter: you can subscribe to MEL Newsletter, which sends you an electronic copy of MEL e-mailed to your mailbox fortnightly.
  • Subscribe to RSS: as simple as clicking the orange RSS Feed icon;-  RSS is a standard web feed format used to publish frequently updated works— such as  news headlines. You are automatically updated with the feed using a Feed Reader or Aggregator which is built in to most web browsers these days. Feed readers can be Web based, Desktop PC based or Mobile device based.
  • Follow us on Twitter: Links to New articles and even videos are uploaded to our Twitter.

Help Share Our Content with Others

On every article you will see buttons to help share articles, make issues known, build support,  with other people.

  • e-mail: sending a link to your friends and colleagues
  • Facebook: simply click the Facebook icon, login to Facebook and a short copy of the article is automatically copied to your Facebook wall.
  • Twitter: click the Twitter button to copy the article headline to your Twitter account.
  • Orkut, MySpace, Blogger or WordPress: other social networking mediums in the same way as above.

We are happy to share, so feel free to copy our articles to your Blogs and social networks. We ask you provide a reference back to the source article where appropriate.
