The State government has decided to disband the Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB) and establish new power sector corporations. In April, an agreement was reached between the government and the Unions that all the workers would be absorbed in the new power sector corporations, and there was an agreement on salaries and other issues as well. According to the Union leaders, there was a 10-day deadline to implement the demands. However, nothing has happened even after six months.
