Meanwhile the Bihar State Road Transport Corporation (BSRTC) has gone on a 5 day strike demanding regular salary payment, against arbitrary deductions from their salaries, and against privatisation of the corporation. The strike is spearheaded by the Path Pariwahan Nigam Karmchari Samyukta Morcha.

According to the Morcha, while other employees – whether in the state government or state government- run public sector or co-operative sector – are being given Sixth Pay Commission salaries, the BSRTC employees are coerced to work on Fourth pay panel salary.
