I thank you for the highly principled and cogently written article entitled `On the 75th anniversary of the surrender of Nazi Germany: The lessons of history must not be forgotten’ written to mark the end of Second World War in Europe on May 9, 1945 with the surrender of  Nazi Germany. 

I thank you for carrying the article entitled `On the Occasion of the 202nd Birth Anniversary of Karl Marx’ which fell on May 5, 2020. The article carries the byline `Times are calling for the transition from capitalism to socialism’. 

The lockdown immediately rendered jobless workers like us who work in the construction sector and are based in Navi Mumbai, Panvel and Badlapur, adjoining Mumbai in Maharashtra. Many people working on the aluminium windows in the buildings of construction projects stay in Badlapur and Panvel.

I am writing in response to the article entitled `Condemn laws allowing 12-hour shift’ carried on the web-site of the CGPI which has been posted in May 2020.  I would like to join you in the protest against this barbaric act by the various governments against the length and breadth of the country.

I am writing to express my gratitude to you for carrying the Call of  the Central Committee of the CGPI dated 1-5-2020 entitled `Unite and fight for an Indian without exploitation or oppression of any kind!’

I was saddened to hear of the passing away of Com. Nexhmije Hoxha earlier this year at the age of 99.  The lives of such persons will always be a beacon to the generations that follow. 

The Call of the Central Committee of the CGPI on the occasion of May Day very correctly analyses that, in the light of recent developments, “capitalism stands nakedly exposed as an inhuman system, geared to keep enriching a super-rich minority at the cost of millions of human lives.” 

Immediately after the lockdown was announced, the Finance Minister announced with great fanfare grandiose schemes of crores of rupees to help working people who have lost their livelihood as a result. Distribution of grain and pulses along with some other food stuff was one of the announcements.

I am a regular reader of your paper since I find it very insightful. Through your newspaper I would like to share with your readers as to how Coronavirus pandemic is an opportunity for big capitalist groups.

I am writing to express my thanks to you for carrying the article entitled `Preventive Detention — An Anti-Democratic feature of the Indian Constitution’ carried in the April 1-15, 2020 section of the web-edition of MEL.  This issue is at the heart of governance in India and is therefore worthy of the attention of the Working Class and of all Communists.
