Trade unions of Delhi organise Joint May Day program

Hundreds of workers, from different sectors, participated in the joint May Day march from Ramlila Maidan to Town Hall at Chandni Chowk, under the leadership of the Joint Forum of Trade Unions of Delhi. A public meeting was held at the Town Hall. There was a large and militant participation of women workers, in particular.

What is going on in front of the eyes of the whole world, is unabashed state terrorism. Instead of ensuring protection for all members of society, the Indian state has unleashed terror against Kashmiris, against all Muslims, and against anyone who dares to question the government’s narrative.

The times are calling on all women and men of conscience to unitedly oppose this state terrorism, and stand in defence of the unity and solidarity of the Indian people.

Massive opposition to the Maharashtra Special Public Security Bill 2024

On 22 April 2025, thousands of activists of communist parties, human rights organisations, organisations of workers, farmers, women and youth as well as citizens’ defence organisations held protest demonstrations across Maharashtra, to denounce the Maharashtra Special Public Security (MSPS) Bill, 2024. A joint memorandum was submitted to District Collectors and Tehsildars, calling upon the Maharashtra State government to withdraw the Bill.
