Responding to the call of the Central Committee of our Party, the Maharashtra Regional Committee organized a Party School on February 12 and 13. Members and friends of the Party from other organizations participated in this program. They seriously studied and discussed important selected themes from the Fourth Congress of the Party convened in October.

The resulting unbearable squeeze on living standards have led to mass protests on the streets, including widespread clashes with armed troops in many cases. The rising food prices have been a major factor behind the revolt in Tunisia, as well as the mass protests in Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Mozambique and Yemen in recent weeks.
