Zomato delivery workers oppose segregation

Food delivery company Zomato had announced on March 20, that it would introduce a “pure veg fleet”, which will deliver food from purely vegetarian restaurants only. This fleet would wear green and have green delivery boxes on their motorcycles, so that they could be told apart from the other delivery workers of the company, who wear red uniforms and have red delivery boxes.

Demolition of workers’ homes across India:
Cruel attack on the working people

The ruthless drive of demolition of workers’ homes by the state is just one more example of the utterly inhuman nature of the existing rule of the bourgeoisie, headed by a handful of the biggest monopoly capitalist houses. Every organ of the state, including the legislature, the bureaucracy and the judiciary shamelessly plays its role in this systematic violation of the rights of the workers. This is the reality in what is claimed to be the “world’s most populous democracy”.

The weakening of financial powers of the states affects those sections of the bourgeoisie whose political influence is limited to a particular region. The growing protests by various states against the growing centralization of powers reflects the intensification of contradictions within the bourgeoisie.
