Hundreds of thousands of workers oppose “labour reforms” in France

France labour reformsSeptember 2017 witnessed several waves of strikes of workers in France against changes to the country’s labour laws. The changes, which are being fast-tracked via executive orders, are designed to give employers more flexibility to negotiate pay and conditions with their workers while reducing the costs of firing staff. More specifically, the “reform” will make employee dismissal rules more flexible by reducing severance costs and loosening the country’s legal procedures around dismissal. The second area where businesses will be allowed more freedom is the regulation of hours of work.

Demonstration against communal violence in Saharanpur

Thumbnail-demoThe state committees of seven left and communist parties demonstrated at Jantar Mantar on 5th June 2017, with the demand to bring to an end the state organized communal violence in Saharanpur and to punish the guilty. Large number of activists of the parties and students participated in the demonstration.

On February 25, 2016, hundreds of workers, women, youth, students, and intellectuals participated in a militant public meeting at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi at the call of seven communist and left parties — Communist Party of India, Communist Party of India (Marxist), Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Liberation, All India Forward Bloc, Revolutionary Socialist Party, Socialist Unity Centre of India (Communist) and Communist Ghadar Party of India.

Condemn the brutal police lathi charge on workers outside Delhi secretariat

On 25 March, 2015, the AAP government of Delhi carried out a massive unprovoked attack on peaceful workers, students and women, who had gathered at the Delhi Secretariat to demand that the new government fulfill the promises it made to the electorate in its election manifesto.

Farmers struggle is advancing in Hanumangarh

Preparations had been on in the Hanumangarh district of Rajasthan for a huge demonstration, led by Kisan-Mazdoor-Vyapari Sangharsh Samiti, on 10th September in front of the head office of the district administration. In the meantime, the administration called the leaders of the Kisan-Mazdoor-Vyapari Sangharsh Samiti and assured them that all the issues would be resolved soon.

Demonstration in preparation of a gherao of the Parliament

There was a big demonstration at ITO on 25th September 2013 under the leadership of the Trade Unions Joint Committee of Delhi to protest against the anti-worker, anti-national and anti-people policies of the government. Hundreds of activists of all the trade unions militantly took part in this demonstration.

Massive protest of teachers in Hyderabad

Teachers across the state of Andhra Pradesh were prevented by police road blocks from reaching demonstrations in Hyderabad, organised by the Joint Action Committee of Employees, Teachers, Workers and Pensioners (JAC). Thousands of strikers were detained by police but despite this there was a massive demonstration in Hyderabad.

100 years ago Ghadar Party was formed by Indians in the US.It was historic milestone in our anti-colonial struggle.
