Nurses in private hospitals of Kerala on strike

Kerala Nurses protestThousands of nurses from private hospitals across Kerala have been on a strike since end of June. They have been demanding fair wages from hospital managements. Ever since their protest began, the nurses have been agitating for their rights, even as they ensure that the health of the patients at their hospitals is not affected.

Greetings to the working class on a successful All-India strike

On February 28, 2012 the Indian working class, its trade unions and organisations gave a call for an All-India strike in opposition to the proposals of the UPAgovernment for labour reforms in the interest of the capitalists. The strike call was for the defeat of the programme of privatization and liberalization, and against the bail out for the capitalists at the expense of the people.

Nigeria – doctors’ strike

The countrywide strike by doctors in Nigeria is having a widespread impact. The doctors began their strike on August 11. Initially resident doctors struck work to force the government to implement an earlier agreement on wages and working conditions. The resident doctors have now been joined by consultants.

100 years ago Ghadar Party was formed by Indians in the US.It was historic milestone in our anti-colonial struggle.
