Mahindra workers win demands through resolute struggle 

Mahindra workers demonstrationWorkers of two Mahindra plants in Uttarakhand (under the banner of Mahindra CIE workers organization) have won their demands after a resolute struggle that began on 18th May 2017 when their demands for an annual wage rise were not implemented. The struggle stretched over four months with workers using several forms of protest on the shop floor.

Workers in the auto industry — victims of ever increasing exploitation

In 2000-01, an auto worker spent 2 hours 12 minutes of an 8-hour shift working for his own subsistence and that of his family. He spent the remaining 5 hours and 48 minutes generating surplus for the capitalist. By 2009-10, the ratio had deteriorated: The auto worker now spent just 1 hour 12 minutes working for his own subsistence and that of his family, and the remaining 6 hours 48 minutes ensuring profits for the capitalist.

100 years ago Ghadar Party was formed by Indians in the US.It was historic milestone in our anti-colonial struggle.

The goal of this party was to organise a revolution to liberate our motherland from British servitude and establish a free and independent India with equal rights for all. It believed this to be the necessary condition for our people to hold their heads high anywhere in the world.
