Operation Blue Star

On the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of Operation Blue Star:

No justification for the State to attack a place of worship!

An attack on one is an attack on all!

Statement of the Central Committee of Communist Ghadar Party of India, 22nd May 2017

It was a communal act, an act of blatant interference of the State in a religious congregation. It was an act of the highest criminal degree, in violation of all accepted principles of governance. The State, whose core duty is supposed to include protecting its citizens’ lives and their right to any form of religious worship, sent its army to attack a place of worship, killing thousands of its own citizens assembled there.

Prof Dalip SinghProf Dr Dalip Singh was a fierce defender of justice and human rights, and an outspoken opponent of state terrorism. In the period following Operation Blue Star and the genocide of Sikhs in 1984, Prof Dalip Singh worked closely with our party organizations to expose the false anti Sikh communal hysteria spread by the state and the Congress Party, and to build the unity of the people against state terrorism and state organized communal genocides.

The ruling class whipped up passions and the courts passed judgments accordingly. The court verdicts are a continuation of the policy of state terrorism unleashed by the Indian state against the people in these areas.
