Hundreds of workers, from different sectors, participated in the joint May Day march from Ramlila Maidan to Town Hall at Chandni Chowk, under the leadership of the Joint Forum of Trade Unions of Delhi. A public meeting was held at the Town Hall. There was a large and militant participation of women workers, in particular.

On 22 April 2025, thousands of activists of communist parties, human rights organisations, organisations of workers, farmers, women and youth as well as citizens’ defence organisations held protest demonstrations across Maharashtra, to denounce the Maharashtra Special Public Security (MSPS) Bill, 2024. A joint memorandum was submitted to District Collectors and Tehsildars, calling upon the Maharashtra State government to withdraw the Bill.

The Central government and state governments are working in the interests of agricultural trading monopolies, and against the interests of farmers and of the whole of society. The demand that the government at the center and in the states ensure security of livelihood for all farmers is entirely just. It is the duty of the state to ensure that farmers get remunerative price for their produce. Workers and peasants must step up their united struggle to ensure fulfillment of this demand.
