India will be truly independent only when people are empowered

They are trained to say whatever the people like to hear, while implementing the agenda set by the Tatas, Birlas, Ambanis and other capitalist monopoly houses.

According to Indian political theory or Raj Dharma, a raja who fails to ensure protection and prosperity for the praja loses his right to rule. Judging on the basis of this principle, the Republic of India has no legitimacy whatsoever.

1946 Revolt of Royal Indian Navy

We can never forget the revolutionary struggle of the sailors

The revolt of the Royal Indian Navy in 1946 has a special place in the revolutionary history of Indian people. The sailors of the Royal Indian Navy started this mutiny which spread to all parts of India and intensified the revolutionary tide. It shook the very foundation of the British colonialism.

18 February 2016 marks 70 years of this uprising. However, very little is talked about this uprising in the history of the independence movement. There are many reasons. When the real history of this great uprising will be taught and read, it will also have to be told how the leaders of the Congress and Muslim League misled the courageous fighters of this movement and spread lies about it to defame their struggle.

The 1936 Soviet Constitution laid down the basis for a political process in which candidates would be selected by the electorate. Every kind of people’s organisation in the constituency – be it a local branch of the communist party or a workers’ union, peasants’ association, women’s organisation, student group or youth club, could nominate its candidate for election to the legislative bodies. All nominations would go through a lengthy and detailed selection process, with the electorate being enabled to express its opinions and exercise its rights. The selection process would result in a final shortlist of candidates approved by the electorate. Only then would the final voting take place, among the shortlist of candidates selected by the people.

Blame the central state and its policy for the terror and insecurity faced by the peoples of the North East!

Army rule is the reality in most parts of the North East.  For the peoples of the North-East, the departure of the British in 1947 did not mean the end of colonial rule.  The region has been ruled virtually as a colony from New Delhi right from that time.  When the peoples of this region have demanded their national and political rights, they have been beaten down ruthlessly, and called agents of foreign powers.

Having been at the receiving end of repression and terror at the hands of the central state and its agencies for so many decades, it is natural that the peoples of this region do not trust the central leaders, who are today promising protection for North-Eastern peoples, declaring they are all Indians.  Many of them can see that this is actually a veiled threat; they are being told to better be loyal to the Indian Union and its policy, if they want to feel safe.

The big bourgeoisie has used the state of the Indian Republic to become the most dominant and ruling force of society, and is dragging the entire country onto a dangerous path – colluding and contending with other imperialist powers, and has grown rich not only by domestic but also through external plunder. The time has come to negate this state which negates the rights and aspirations of all our peoples. This can be done if and only if the working class takes the lead.  For India to be free and independent, it is essential that every part our country, every section of our people, is free from oppression or discrimination of any kind.  On the 65th anniversary of independence, the Communist Ghadar Party calls on all… to unite firmly around the program to reconstitute the Indian Union on a voluntary basis, redefine democracy to empower the people!

Its "war against terrorism" is getting exposed more and more as a strategy for the conquest of Asia, as a prelude to conquer the world. The economy of US imperialism is in deep recession.

No justification for violating the self-determination of nations and peoples!

A great tragedy for the peoples and complication in the struggle for self-determination arose through the betrayal of principles by the Soviet Union headed by the Khrushchevites. While restoring capitalist exploitation and national oppression within, the Soviet Union emerged as a full-fledged social-imperialist power, contending and colluding with the US for domination over the globe. The Soviet social-imperialists proclaimed the nefarious theory of “limited sovereignty” to justify their efforts to dominate the countries of people’s democracy in Eastern Europe. In the name of opposing US imperialism, they intervened in the affairs of a number of countries in Europe, Africa and Asia. The invasions of Czechoslovakia in 1968 and of Afghanistan in 1979 showed the extent to which the rulers of the Soviet Union had departed from the principles originally laid down in that country.

People’s will is supreme and not the will of Parliament!

Statement of the Central Committee of Communist Ghadar Party of India, 28th August, 2011

The mass agitation has raised the level of consciousness about the fundamental flaw in the existing system of democracy, in which big business interests and their corrupt parties control the Lok Sabha.  It has further exposed multi-party representative democracy as a process designed to permit the biggest exploiters, corrupt ministers and officials to loot and plunder our land and labour... The question that has assumed centre-stage by the development of events is where supreme power lies, and where it must lie.  Who is sovereign?  Is the people’s will supreme or is the will of Parliament or will of Cabinet supreme?

Down with the US imperialist attacks on Pakistan!

The government and people of Pakistan have every right to defend their sovereignty!

The ruling circles of our country are also myopic and self serving. They do not want to admit that it is the US that was and remains the fountainhead of terrorism world wide, as well as in our region, and that Afghanistan, Pakistan and other countries are the victims of this. They do not want to draw the right lessons from what has happened in Pakistan.

Crisis of capitalism deepens further in Greece

Greece has been under severe economic crisis for the past several years. The Greek government which did not have any foreign debt before it joined the EU in 2000, is now mired in debt. By 2009, the budget deficit stood at 15.7%, which is four times what is allowed by the EU and the external debt was 127% of the GDP. The primary reason for this situation was the easy credit offered to the Greek government by the "troika" of lending institutions, i.e., the IMF, European Central Bank and the European Commission.

Anglo-American troops and intelligence agents – Out of South Asia!

Statement of the Central Committee of the Communist Ghadar Party of India, 5th May, 2011

Terrorism as a preferred tactic of imperialist geo-politics was first introduced in our region by the two superpowers, US imperialism and Soviet social-imperialism.  After the expulsion of Soviet troops from Afghanistan, the American and British imperialists and their intelligence agencies, the CIA and MI5, became the principal sponsors of terrorist groups in west and south Asia, using them to topple regimes, infiltrate popular movements and destroy nations in their drive for unquestioned world domination.

Unite against the capitalist system of maximum loot and plunder!

The working class has to fight to become the ruling class!

May Day Call of the Communist Ghadar Party of India, 2011

Replacing one party or coalition by another in the existing capitalist democracy does not lead to any advance for the toiling masses.  It does not change the capitalist orientation of the economy.  It does not end the loot and plunder of our land and labour, nor the attacks on our rights. The only way the situation will change is if we who produce the wealth of India become her masters.  Then and only then can we reorient the economy to provide prosperity and protection for all.

On the occasion of the 193rd Birth Anniversary of Karl Marx

In our country at the present time, the party that is promoted as “the Marxist Party” has turned Marxism into such a grotesque caricature that masses of working people are rebelling against its rule in West Bengal. Far from arming the working class to become the ruling class, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has committed itself to managing the rule of the capitalist class. It has merged with the existing capitalist state and its multi-party representative democracy. It has unleashed police repression and brutal violence against peasants and others so as to seize their land and hand it over to capitalist monopolies.

Speech of Frederick Engels at the graveside of Karl Marx

On the 14th of March, at a quarter to three in the afternoon, the greatest living thinker ceased to think. He had been left alone for scarcely two minutes, and when we came back we found him in his armchair, peacefully gone to sleep — but for ever.

An immeasurable loss has been sustained both by the militant proletariat of Europe and America, and by historical science, in the death of this man. The gap that has been left by the departure of this mighty spirit will soon enough make itself felt.

Or the entire political and economic system needs radical transformation? The Communist Ghadar Party of India firmly believes that the entire political and economic system needs radical transformation, a Navnirman of the Indian state and society. The line pursued by the CPI(M) and the Left Front it leads have been a biggest block to this Navnirman.

On the occasion of the 141st birth anniversary of VI Lenin

Fight for the victory of the proletarian revolution and the dictatorship of the proletariat!

The history of the working class movement of our country has confirmed that revision of the fundamental teachings and conclusions of Marxism Leninism, as well as its dogmatic rendering, have caused harm to the cause of the revolution and communism. Refusal to develop Indian revolutionary theory, thereby falling victim to the Eurocentric outlook that everything from our past is feudal and reactionary, has been a disease afflicting the communist movement in our country, which our Party has diagnosed and is working to overcome.

Various parties that call themselves communist are organising workers, peasants, women and youth behind aims that are contrary to the aim of dictatorship of proletariat.  It is part of our communist duty to dispel the cloak of ignorance and false consciousness that has been spread over the Indian working class. We need to draw a clear line of demarcation between what is communism and what is pseudo-communism.  Only then can we lead the working class on the revolutionary path.  Only then can we unite communists on the basis of cleansing the movement of all forms of bourgeois ideology.  This was one of the most important messages of the paper presented on 25th December.

It is a historic initiative in the sense that this Conference pulled together all the theoretical and philosophical justifications for the defence and affirmation of rights, both individual and collective, based on the best of Indian thought and of scientific and democratic thought and political experience on the world scale.
