With the recent visit to India of US Defence Secretary Ashton Carter – his third visit so far – the Indian state has taken further steps to cement its military ties with US imperialism. While India-US military collaboration started after the end of the Cold War in the 1990s, it has been steadily gathering pace in the last decade or more.
This military collaboration with the deadliest and most aggressive imperialist power known to mankind is fundamentally against the interests of the Indian people. It threatens the peace and security of our region. It must be opposed by all right-thinking Indians.

The European Union’s leading members – the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain – have already agreed to the “military” assault on what the grouping of 28 member states is calling “human smugglers.”

Oppose the diabolical plan of US to destroy Iraq and Syria
The ISIS, whom the US is now labeling as terrorists, is a US creation. It was armed and organized by the US allies such as Saudi Arabia and Qatar to overthrow the Assad regime in Syria. It was a part of the grand coalition of terrorist groups set into motion in Syria by the US and its allies under the name of the Free Syrian Army. There are credible reports that the US ordered the 30,000 strong Iraqi army in Mosul to hand it over to 800 ISIS fighters and this was done.

Statement of the Central Committee of Communist Ghadar Party of India, 12 August, 2012
Sixty five years after independence from the British, who is free in India today? Workers, peasants, intellectuals, women, religious minorities, nations and nationalities are all oppressed. The big bourgeoisie has used the state of the Indian Republic to become the most dominant and ruling force of society, and is dragging the entire country onto a dangerous path – colluding and contending with other imperialist powers, and has grown rich not only by domestic but also through external plunder. The time has come to negate this state which negates the rights and aspirations of all our peoples. This can be done if and only if the working class takes the lead. For India to be free and independent, it is essential that every part our country, every section of our people, is free from oppression or discrimination of any kind. On the 65th anniversary of independence, the Communist Ghadar Party calls on all… to unite firmly around the program to reconstitute the Indian Union on a voluntary basis, redefine democracy to empower the people!

I call upon you to take up this task and spare no effort in taking this widely in every region of the country.Let us put pressure on everyone calling themselves communist to take a clear stand on this question— are they or are they not agreed on the urgent necessity to prepare the working class to take political power and establish proletarian democracy in place of capitalist democracy?
The 31st birth anniversary of the Communist Ghadar Party of India was celebrated in grand and colourful style in Delhi on 25th December 2011. The entire program was managed from beginning to end by the youthful comrades of the Party.
Way Forward: One Aim, One Program for Political Power!
An important and path breaking two-day conference was organized by Lok Awaz Publishers and Distributors in Delhi on 23-24 December, 2011. It was attended by activists and organisers of the working class, belonging to numerous trends and parties in the communist movement.
On November 26, a US-led combined air and land assault on Pakistani territory near the border with Afghanistan led to the death of 24 Pakistani military personnel and injuries to many more. The people and government of Pakistan have responded as one with anger and indignation, and protests have erupted all across the country.
US imperialism and its allies, including Israel, Britain, France, Germany and other powers, have been stepping up the pressure and siege of Iran to a feverish pitch in recent weeks. After a decision by Britain to further tighten sanctions on Iran, the Iranian majlis (parliament) decided on November 27 to downgrade its ties with Britain.
On November 22, the Kuala Lumpur War Crimes Tribunal based in Malaysia indicted former US President George Bush and former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair for war crimes, in connection with the 2003 invasion and subsequent occupation of Iraq.
Statement of the Central Committee of Communist Ghadar Party of India, 6th November, 2011
The murder of Gaddafi and the recolonisation of Libya are a message to the African peoples that the Anglo-American imperialists and other European powers are initiating a new scramble for the recolonisation and redivision of Africa. It poses a grave threat to the freedom and independence of all the African countries.
US imperialism is putting immense pressure on Pakistan. This, when it is firmly established that the US itself is the biggest sponsor of terrorism worldwide. US imperialism has destroyed Afghanistan. Its "war against terrorism" is getting exposed more and more as a strategy for the conquest of Asia, as a prelude to conquer the world. The economy of US imperialism is in deep recession.
Anti-Imperialist forces resolve to throw imperialists out of Asia
We denounce the decision of the Manmohan Singh government to send the Indian Army to Afghanistan to "train" the puppet Afghan army, set up by the US imperialists, to attack the Afghan people's anti-imperialist national liberation struggle. We consider this as an excuse to intervene in Afghanistan against our own brothers and sisters.
We believe that the fountainhead of terrorism worldwide is US imperialism.
“We will feel safer when US forces leave” was the unanimous sentiment expressed by people of Afghanistan, who gathered to protest against the invasion of their country by the US, 10 years ago on October 7, 2011. The protestors clearly wanted the immediate withdrawal of US and other foreign troops from their country.
The question of where sovereignty lies and should lie, in a modern society, has been posed very starkly by recent developments in our country and throughout the world. A public meeting was organized on 11th September 2011 by Lok Raj Sangathan in Delhi on this important issue. It was attended by activists from the movement for empowerment of people.
Just before Mr Abbas’s speech in the UN, on Thursday 22nd September 2011, dozens of Israeli artists and academics proclaimed their support for the Palestinian United Nations statehood bid, outside of Independence Hall in Tel Aviv. .
None of the terror attacks that have taken place in our country in the past decade have been solved. Their organizers have never been identified, caught, tried and punished. Are we expected to believe that the government is really clueless about the organizers, or it is possible that it is covering up for them?
Ten years of unjust wars and violation of sovereignty under concocted pretexts
Ten years after that horrific event, it is now clear that the terrorist attack of 9/11 was the launching pad for a fascist military campaign to assert and impose the hegemony of US imperialism on the global scale. It was either a remarkable piece of good fortune for US imperialism, or a clandestine diabolical plot masterminded by the US imperialists themselves. US imperialism has clearly been the principal political beneficiary.
The truth is that, with cold-blooded cynicism, the US imperialists and their allies are using the widespread conditions of domestic unrest that have affected a large number of countries and states across the whole of northern Africa and parts of western Asia this year, to strike mortal blows against those states and governments that have challenged their interests in the region as well as those of their henchmen, the Israeli Zionists. Libya, Syria and Iran have all, at different times and to different degrees, opposed the imperialist designs in the region. They have actively supported the Palestinian and other peoples fighting against imperialism and zionism.
August 6th, 2011 marks the anniversary of the terrible crime committed by the United States against the Japanese people - civilian men, women and children. 66 years ago, the US dropped atom bombs on two towns of Japan. On August 6, 1945, the atom bomb was exploded over Hiroshima, and on August 9, 1945, over Nagasaki.
Ten years ago, on October 7, 2001, the US imperialists and their allies invaded Afghanistan, and they remain there to this day. In the name of waging “war against terrorism”, they have occupied the country, set up their chosen regime, bombed the villages and mountains, and killed and maimed tens of thousands of its people.
In a move with important international ramifications, the Iranian Majlis (Parliament) has formally charged 26 US officials with war crimes and crimes against humanity, and they will face prosecution in Iranian courts in absentia. Following their trial in Iranian courts, the dossier on their crimes will be forwarded to the International Criminal Court in the Hague.
The inhuman and unjust imperialist aggression on Libya is continuing; new forms of economic and political pressures have been added to the destructive war power of the NATO powers. The aim of this war is “regime change”, meaning destruction of Gaddafi politically and physically if possible, and installation of a puppet regi
Statement of the Central Committee of the Communist Ghadar Party of India, 14th July, 2011
The Communist Ghadar Party of India condemns the terrorist attacks in three locations of Mumbai on 13th July, 2011
Yesterday's blasts come at a time when India and Pakistan are seriously engaging each other in dialogue to solve outstanding problems. The Pakistani government and people wants friendship with India at a time when Pakistan's sovereignty is in danger from the grave threats US imperialism is posing.
The government and people of Pakistan have every right to defend their sovereignty!
The ruling circles of our country are also myopic and self serving. They do not want to admit that it is the US that was and remains the fountainhead of terrorism world wide, as well as in our region, and that Afghanistan, Pakistan and other countries are the victims of this. They do not want to draw the right lessons from what has happened in Pakistan.
The Fourth Congress of the Communist Ghadar Party of India was convened in the last week of October 2010.
The Report of the Fourth Congress was presented by Comrade Lal Singh on behalf of the Central Committee elected by the Third Congress. It was discussed at length and adopted by the Congress. It was been edited for publication by the decision of the Fourth Congress. This publication also contains the Resolutions adopted by the Fourth Congress
Egypt continues to boil. The fall of the Mubarak regime, and the establishment of an interim government, has not satisfied the working masses. The working masses can see that the military, the backbone of the Mubarak regime, continues to rule and the interim government continues its anti working class, pro US, pro Israeli course. They are demanding a fundamental change in course.
On May 15, the Israeli Armed Forces opened fire on hundreds of protestors who had gathered at a check point on the border of Gaza with Israel, to commemorate Naqba (day of catastrophe), the founding of the Israeli Zionist state in 1948. At least 15 people were killed in the firing while many more were wounded.
Tens of thousands of people all over Spain have been participating in sit – in protests in the second half of May 2011, occupying the Puerta del Sol in Madrid and many other public buildings and places.
Anglo-American troops and intelligence agents – Out of South Asia!
Statement of the Central Committee of the Communist Ghadar Party of India, 5th May, 2011
Terrorism as a preferred tactic of imperialist geo-politics was first introduced in our region by the two superpowers, US imperialism and Soviet social-imperialism. After the expulsion of Soviet troops from Afghanistan, the American and British imperialists and their intelligence agencies, the CIA and MI5, became the principal sponsors of terrorist groups in west and south Asia, using them to topple regimes, infiltrate popular movements and destroy nations in their drive for unquestioned world domination.
The situation in Libya is grave. The imperialists are preparing to introduce ground troops to occupy Libya or partition the country, as the present level of intervention in the form of weapons, special forces, assassination squads and tactical leadership has proven insufficient.
Why are the imperialists so desperate to get rid of Gaddafi and install a pliant regime? This must be seen in the context of the inter imperialist conflicts over the redivision of Africa, rich in natural resources. Libya is one of the few countries in Africa (others are Sudan, Zimbabwe, Ivory Coast, Eritrea) which are not part of AFRICOM, the newest of Pentagon commands for the African and Mediterranean Basin region.

Starting on 19th March, warplanes of the United States, France, Britain and a few other imperialist countries have rained Tomahawk missiles and other deadly weapons on selected targets in Libya, including its capital city Tripoli.
In the wake of people’s uprisings in North Africa and West Asia, the Anglo-American imperialists are using the civil war in Libya as a pretext to intervene militarily. Towards this end, they have launched a campaign full of hypocrisy and exaggeration about the situation in Libya, to justify the ongoing military intervention.
I am writing to thank you for the article entitled "Sri Krishna Committee submits report on Telangana: Condemn the deliberate inflaming of passions among the people!'' in the columns of the January 16-31, 2011 issue of Mazdoor Ekta Lehar. The Sri Krishna Committee on Telengana submitted its report to the Central Government on December 30, 2010. It presents six options to deal with the problem, with one identified as the "most preferred option", and another identified as a second option. The other four options are termed impractical by the Committee itself. The Sri Krishna Committee had been set up by the UPA Government in February 2010 to allegedly assist it to arrive at a solution to the agitation in Andhra Pradesh for and against Telengana. Now, the ball is in the court of the UPA Government to hit which way it chooses.

On November 23, during a major military exercise conducted off the waters of the Korean peninsula, the South Korean and US forces fired live artillery into the disputed territorial waters in the direction of North Korea. North Korea immediately responded with artillery fire that hit Yonphyong island which houses a South Korean military base along with some civilian population.
US President Obama recently visited India to strengthen the alliance between the US imperialists and the Indian ruling class. This alliance is fraught with peril for the workers and people of India as well as for the peace and security of South Asia and the world. It must be opposed by all forces interested in peace and the wellbeing of the peoples.
Hundreds of activists marched from Mandi House to Parliament, in New Delhi, on the morning of November 8, 2010, to protest against the visit of US President Obama to our country. A sea of red flags and banners marked the event jointly organised by the Communist Ghadar Party of India, the Socialist Unity Center of India (Communist), the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, the Lok Raj Sangathan, the All India Workers Council, CPDM, Delhi Shramik Sangathan and Janpaksha.

The Editor, Apropos the article entitled 'Kashmir - an exposure of the real face of Indian democracy’, I am writing to express my thanks to the CGPI for its bold and categorical stand on the matter. Written in the wake of the 'all-party’ delegation’s visit to Srinagar to supposedly appraise itself of the situation, the article captured in no uncertain terms that the mask of Indian democracy has been torn apart by the thousands of brave men, women and children who have come out into the streets to express their anger against continuous and increased repression under the hands of the state.
US President Barrack Obama is scheduled to visit India in the second week of November, 2010.
This visit comes at a time when the US imperialists are getting caught in the mire of the war they have unleashed in Afghanistan and Pakistan’s border provinces, as a result of the heroic resistance struggle of the peoples.

After more than three months of continuous mass protests in Kashmir, and the killing of more than a hundred people in daily shootings by the armed forces there, the UPA government finally came up with its long-awaited policy measure to deal with the explosive situation there – an ‘all-party’ delegation visit to Kashmir to observe the problem first-hand! As the Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in Srinagar reacted incredulously, “Doesn’t the government of India already know the situation that is prevailing in Kashmir?!” This latest move only confirms the utter bankruptcy of the Indian state, its inability to even pretend that it has a solution to the problem.
I am very thankful to you for the important, deeply researched and informative article entitled "The struggle against fascism and imperialism – an integral part of the proletarian revolution'' in the August 1-15, 2010 issue of MEL.

Two months after the latest round of furious protests by the Kashmiri people began, the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh finally chose to address the issue. This was at an “all-party” meeting convened in New Delhi to discuss the situation in Kashmir, from which many parties to the struggle there were conspicuously absent. Manmohan Singh’s remarks at the meeting were enough to dispel any illusions that his government was going to launch any fresh initiatives to solve the problem.

On August 6, 1945, the atom bomb was exploded over Hiroshima, and on August 9, 1945, over Nagasaki. Nearly three lakh women, men and children died within a period of two months after the dropping of the bombs, half of them on the days of the bombings. The long term effects of the radiation has effected entire generations. While dealing with India’s militarization, it must be kept in mind that the US is the worlds most heavily armed power, on all counts, with its armies deployed all over the world. Not only is it the most heavily armed power in the conventional and nuclear sense, it spends 9-12 times as much on military expenditure each year (US $ 515 trillion) as compared with the next set of countries ( France, China, UK, Germany, Japan, Russia, Italy) and 16 times as much as India, Saudi Arabia and Turkey, the second set of countries on the list, on military outlay.

Showing utter contempt for the universal condemnation of their brutal assault on Gaza, the murderous Zionist forces, openly backed by the US imperialists, are continuing with their dastardly war against the Palestinian people for the third week as we go to press.

The statement on the current geo-political development following the Mumbai attacks should serve as an eye-opener to all those who have any illusions about the aims of the US imperialists and their collaborators in south Asia.
On Monday December 15, the world witnessed an unforgettable act in Baghdad, when a journalist attending a press conference for visiting US President Bush threw his shoes at the American President. This action of Muntader al-Zaidi, a 29-year-old journalist with the Al Baghdadia, a Cairo-based satellite television network, symbolised the anger, the hatred and repulsion of millions of peoples across the Arab world against the US State for its criminal occupation of Iraq and genocide of its people.
Bangladesh Bharat Pakistan People’s Forum organized a protest rally on December 19 in Kolkata, to oppose terrorist attacks on the people of Mumbai and other places, warmongering and the evil designs of imperialism.
Statement of the Central Committee of Communist Ghadar Party of India, 12th Dec 2008
Following the Mumbai terror attacks of 26-28 November, the degree of US penetration and interference in South Asia is on the rise. Hordes of US intelligence forces have entrenched themselves in India, in the name of helping to investigate terrorism.
Seven years after the US imperialist-led invasion of Afghanistan, the top British military commander in Afghanistan has gone on record saying that they cannot win the war in Afghanistan and that their military strategy is “doomed to defeat”.
The result of the ambitions of Indian bourgeoisie is that increasingly, the seas around our country are getting militarized, and the warships of powers which have no business to be here, are prowling around these seas. The warships of the US imperialists have been looking for a port of call, a port of refueling in this region for a long time.
What this shows is that being an ally or “partner” of US imperialism offers no protection against the depradations of this rampaging superpower. At this time, various elements in the Indian ruling circles are crowing about the Indian state's increasing closeness to the US.
The passage of legislation in the US Congress on May 24 for supplementary unconditional funding by which the Bush administration sought to continue the war in Iraq had a significant impact on the anti-war movement which has been consistently protesting the war.

According to news reports, the report of the weapons inspectors team on Iraq has been seized by the US. The US forcibly took over the arms report on Iraq from the UN Security Council President, and says that it will not be shown to the non-permanent non-nuclear members of the Security Council. (The Hindu, December 10, 2002).
The United States and its allies are using the pretext of their "war against terrorism" to try, gain and extend their foothold in the internal affairs of various Asian countries, and especially to extend control over military, intelligence and other important sectors.
Following reports of an alleged American intelligence information that Pakistan has been collaborating with North Korea on nuclear technology and armaments, the Indian government has demanded that the US should send international weapons inspectors into Pakistan.
The US imperialists have, for the last few weeks, been forcing the UN and all other countries to accept their demand for legitimizing aggression on Iraq. This most unwarranted aggression is part of the US imperialist drive to assert their authority over Asia and the world.
"War against terrorism" is a war for the American conquest of Asia!
Statement of Communist Ghadar Party of India, June 12, 2002
Everyone can see that US imperialist interference and intervention in South Asia is rising. Every week, some political or military representative or envoy of the United States or Britain is visiting India and Pakistan these days.
In the period following the end of the Cold War, world imperialism, particularly the Anglo American imperialists, have launched a concerted attack against what are being referred to as "forces of Islamic fundamentalism". After the events of September 11, 2001 and the launching of the "global war against terrorism", this campaign has been further stepped up.
The massacre of innocent men, women and children in Kaluchak, Jammu, has been the signal for the Vajpayee government to raise war hysteria to a fever pitch and to step up war preparations against Pakistan. Hurriyat leader Abdul Ghani Lone was assassinated on precisely the day Shri Vajpayee began his Kashmir tour.
As the attention of the world rivets once again to the Indo-Pak border and the war mobilisation on land, sea and air, as well as the "peace diplomacy" of the Anglo-American and other imperialists, there is need to take stock of various other military and diplomatic developments in recent weeks.
Oppose growing Anglo-American interference in South Asia!
