Statement of the Central Committee of the Communist Ghadar Party of India, 10th January, 2018

The Republic of India will be 68 years old on 26th January this year. The experience of almost seven decades has revealed that this Republic does not protect the right to livelihood, right to conscience, right to life and other human and democratic rights of all members of society. According to Indian political theory or Raj Dharma, a raja who fails to ensure protection and prosperity for the praja loses his right to rule. Judging on the basis of this principle, the Republic of India has no legitimacy whatsoever.

Comrades, Red Salute on May Day!

Over 130 years ago the working class heralded the struggle for their rights as workers demanded eight hours working day, with eight hours of rest and another eight to be dedicated to fulfilling their duties towards the society. To crush the struggle of the working class of Chicago the government of the capitalist imprisoned the workers, condemned them to harsh punishment and tortured them in various ways, including sending them to the gallows. The police and security forces of the capitalists fired upon them, killing hundreds of workers. The flag in the hands of the workers was drenched in their blood and this became the symbol of their struggle against the capitalists class.

Onward with the Struggle to punish those guilty of demolishing Babri Masjid!

Unite and fight for a State that would guarantee prosperity and protection for all!

Statement of the Central Committee of Communist Ghadar Party of India, 5th December, 2015

The demolition of Babri Masjid exposed the fact that communalism and communal violence had become an unwritten policy of the Indian State.  It is not the religious beliefs of anyone that is to blame.  It is the ruling class and its method of rule that is responsible.

The dispute over Babri Masjid was deliberately reignited by the Indian big bourgeoisie to divide the people on communal lines.  The aim was to disrupt and paralyze the struggles of the working class and people against the all sided attacks being launched on their rights, as well as to suppress dissident factions within the bourgeois class.

Communal violence and incitement of competing sectarian agitations based on religion and caste were all deployed to create a climate of mayhem and chaos, within which the unpopular policy changes could be pushed through.  This is the real explanation for the rapid escalation of communal and sectarian violence in the nineties.

Condemn the brutal killings in Paris and other places!

Statement of the Central Committee of Communist Ghadar Party of India, 17th November, 2015

The Communist Ghadar Party of India condemns the murderous attacks that took place in Paris on the evening of November 13, 2015, resulting in the death of over 120 people and grievous injuries to hundreds more. The CGPI also condemns the terrorist attack in Beirut, Lebanon on November 12, 2015, in which 43 people died and over 200 people injured. Earlier in October, nearly 100 people were killed and many injured in the Turkish capital Ankara in suicide bomb attacks. The CGPI extends its deep sympathies to the families of all those who have suffered as a result of such heinous crimes.

These crimes are unjustifiable. They have as their target, the working people, who are not in any way responsible for the state terrorism and wars unleashed by the US and its allies.

The French government, as well as the imperialist controlled media have blamed a group operating in Syria and Iraq for the Paris killings. This has been used as a justification for dramatically escalating its military intervention in Syria.

Support the just struggle of Ex-Servicemen

Statement of the Communist Ghadar Party of India, August 21, 2015

The soldiers and officers of the armed forces spend their entire serving career defending the country and ready to risk their lives in doing so. When they retire from service, their simple demand is that they be treated with dignity.

The capitalist class in power considers the soldier to be an expendable commodity just like the factory worker— to be used and thrown away. The political parties of this class pretend to be very patriotic, mouthing the slogan “Jai jawan, Jai Kisan”. However, their track record shows that they care neither for the Kisaan nor for the jawan.  They only care about the prosperity of the biggest capitalist houses, for which they are ready to spend any amount of public funds. Just like the workers and peasants of our country, our soldiers too have been forced to take the path of struggle in defence of their dignity and rights.

Sixty-five years after independence from British colonial rule – the revolt continues!

Ghadar jaari hai!

Statement of the Central Committee of Communist Ghadar Party of India, 12 August, 2012

Sixty five years after independence from the British, who is free in India today? Workers, peasants, intellectuals, women, religious minorities, nations and nationalities are all oppressed. The big bourgeoisie has used the state of the Indian Republic to become the most dominant and ruling force of society, and is dragging the entire country onto a dangerous path – colluding and contending with other imperialist powers, and has grown rich not only by domestic but also through external plunder. The time has come to negate this state which negates the rights and aspirations of all our peoples. This can be done if and only if the working class takes the lead.  For India to be free and independent, it is essential that every part our country, every section of our people, is free from oppression or discrimination of any kind.  On the 65th anniversary of independence, the Communist Ghadar Party calls on all… to unite firmly around the program to reconstitute the Indian Union on a voluntary basis, redefine democracy to empower the people!
