Crucial conference for communists

Dear Comrade

I consider myself very fortunate to have been a participant in the two day discussion on December 23-24, 2011, on the issue of the need for the working class to take political power in its hands and the proposed methods for achieving this.

The main paper presented in each session and the discussions that followed clearly brought out that the bourgeoisie has no solution to the present crisis and that it is the capitalist system that is the root cause of all the problems of the toiling masses. The need for the working class, in a united front with the peasantry and all the oppressed masses, to take political power in its hands and build a society free from all kinds of exploitation, was clearly explained as the only way forward. The urgent task before the communists is to lead the working class in organizing itself to be the ruling class and take political power in its own hands.

The participation of large numbers of youth and young women in the progam was indeed heartening. The seriousness and very high level of the discussion showed the determination of those present to take up this urgent task for solution.

I thank the organizers, Lok Awaz, organizing this very important program.

Parties of the capitalist class claim that there is no
alternative to the program of globalisation, liberalisation
and privatisation. The truth is thatthere IS an alternative.

The alternative is to reorient the economy to fulfil people’s
needs instead of fulfilling capitalist greed. This is the
program for the Navnirman of India.
