May Day Call

I am writing to thank the CC of the CGPI for its inspiring Call dated 10th April 2013 entitled `Organise to defeat the program of globalization through privatization and liberalisation! Unite and fight for worker-peasant rule!’ issued on the eve of May Day of 2013.

Indeed this call has been issued as the world capitalistic system is enveloped on all sides by acute crisis.  Concomitant with this is the clash between the working class and the bourgeoisie in all countries of the world.  There is a growing realisation that this system can never fulfil the needs of the working class and of society in general.  Indeed, it has been pointed out that in India the system benefits only the big industrial houses and that the working people have to put up with atrocious attacks on their standard of living to bring the Indian bourgeoisie to world standard.

However, there are signs that the working class is developing confidence in its own strength.  There will be attempts to thwart these by diversions and trickery.  All attempts to subvert the growing consciousness and strength must be fought tooth and nail.  The CGPI has been the vanguard of this effort in the past and continues to be so.

Let us all celebrate May Day and unite to bring a socialistic dawn in India.

Sincerely,

A. Narayan

Parties of the capitalist class claim that there is no
alternative to the program of globalisation, liberalisation
and privatisation. The truth is thatthere IS an alternative.

The alternative is to reorient the economy to fulfil people’s
needs instead of fulfilling capitalist greed. This is the
program for the Navnirman of India.
