Commemoration of the anniversary of the martyrdom of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev

Jan Chetna Manch organized the meeting onmartyr’s day In Jahkal Grain Market located in Haryana’s Fatehabad district on 23rd March. People from neighboring villages and towns participated in this meeting with a lot of enthusiasm. On this occasion, a revolutionary play in memory of the martyrs, a play that critically examined the conditions in the country and revolutionary songs were presented.

The event’s convenor, Master Vrijpal and Sunil Singh Jain lit the lamps placed before the pictures of the martyrs. Flowers were placed. The main play, “I am Bhagat Singh” was presented and the youth participated spiritedly in the act.

Martyr’s day has been commemorated at the Mandi since 2004, the people get intensely more patriotic with each year.

Com. Lokesh of Hind Naujavan Sabha was invited to the stage. He initiated the meeting with the song, “rasthe pe tumhare chalke hum, azad ab desh karayenge”. The keynote speech was delivered by Com. Santosh Kumar. He elaborated on struggles being waged across the county and said that all of us must unite to take forward the struggle for revolution.

He said lakhs of Indians had sacrificed their lives for revolution. Bhagat Singh and his various comrades dreamt of a socialist Hindostan which would be free from exploitation. Turning those dreams into a reality will be our biggest salute to the martyrs.

Several other speakers who addressed the meeting said that the fire inspired by Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev glowed in their hearts. Our youth draw inspiration from the lives of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev because these martyrs fought uncompromisingly against the enemy, the British colonialists and their Indian lackeys. These patriotic youth sang “Rang de basanti….” when walking to the gallows.

Jarnail Singh, Sarpanch Surender Mittal, Baba Pradeep Singh, etc. were among those who addressed the meeting. A play was enacted by the name “Bolu Rama, watch the play”. The meeting concluded with all guests being honored with a photo of Bhagat Singh.

The alternative is to reorient the economy to fulfil people’s
needs instead of fulfilling capitalist greed. This is the
