Call to make the general strike a success

I would like to express the sentiment that all those in the revolutionary camp must extend utmost support to this effort to make the 2nd September General Strike a success. This is in accordance with the resolution of the National Conference of Trade Unions to protest against the anti-worker, anti-farmer, anti-national policies of the central government.

While the Right to Strike is a hard earned right that the working class has earned through generations of struggle to bargain with management, this is being exercised today in a manner of heighened consciousness that it is the government itself that is the handmaiden of management and stands as the single biggest enemy of the working class. I am hearted to read that there are military style preparations in the ranks of the working class to make the strike a success. Every such occasion is an opportunity for the working class to prepare itself to take reins of society in an effort to meet its historical obligation as the liberator of society. I am also pleased to read that the rank and file of the CGPI is participating in this historic effort. By such actions, the CGPI will live up to its own historical mandate of being in the vanguard of the revolutionary struggle.

I would like to wish the CGPI and the organizers of the strike all the very best in turning the strike into a success.

Parties of the capitalist class claim that there is no
alternative to the program of globalisation, liberalisation
and privatisation. The truth is thatthere IS an alternative.

The alternative is to reorient the economy to fulfil people’s
needs instead of fulfilling capitalist greed. This is the
program for the Navnirman of India.
