Kakori martyrs

The speakers remembered the brave attack organised by the members of the Hindustan Republican Association on the train carrying British money at Uttar Pradesh, Kakori on 9th August 1925. The incident known as the Kakori Conspiracy shook the British rule to its roots. The British rule arrested and also gave the death sentence to many involved in the attack. The conspiracy was a burning example for Indian revolutionaries, which inspired a large number of youth, who came forward with the aim of sacrificing their lives for the freedom of the country.

The speakers explained that the youth are being divided on the basis of religion, caste and more while citing the current context. Using this, our true enemies and the reason for our problems are being hidden from us. We will have to strengthen our unity and come forward with the same bravery to struggle for our rights and freedom, the way the martyrs of Kakori dared to challenge and fight the British rule.

The meeting hall resounded with the slogans of “Long live the martyrs of Kakori!”, “Long live revolution! ”
