Struggle for justice

A massive demonstration took place in front of the State Assembly in Jaipur, Rajasthan on 22nd July 2019 demanding the arrest of the murderers of Pawan Vyas. The demonstration was led by the Nyay Sangharsh Samiti which has been constituted to fight for justice in the murder of Pawan Vyas in cold blood.

Pawan Vyas, a committed service centre operator of Jasana (a village situated in the Nohar tehsil of Hanumangad district of Rajasthan) was murdered on 17th October 2017. For almost two years after the murder, the police have not been able to find and arrest the criminals.

The Nyay Sangharsh Samiti is supported by Vipr Foundation, Lok Raj Sangathan and many other people’s organisations. A Nyay Yatra” (march for justice) on foot, took off from Nohar to Jaipur (covering a total distance of 311 kilometers), demanding the arrest and strict punishment of the murderers. Several youth joined across many cities; the Yatra reached Jaipur on 20th July.

Hanuman Prasad Sharma, National Vice President of Lok Raj Sangathan, Balwan Punia, CPI (M) MLA from Badra, Dr Rajkumar Sharma, Congress MLA, Amit Chachan, MLA from Nohar, Rakesh Parik, MLA, Manoj Nyangali, Ex MLA, Dharmanarayan Joshi, BJP MLA, Abhinesh Maharshi, MLA from Ratangad, Sanjay Sharma, Ramlal Sharma and others participated in the demonstration.

The Nyay Sangharsh Samiti has decided that till the time the murderers are not arrested, the sit in protest will continue at the Nohar Police Station.
