Ministers and TV news anchors are issuing provocative and inflammatory calls on a daily basis, threatening more aerial bombings of targets inside Pakistan.

Recently a number of big banks in Europe have come under scrutiny for carrying out suspected money-laundering transactions. Danske Bank, Denmark's largest bank, admitted recently that an internal investigation had uncovered a large number of suspicious accounts and transactions at its branch in Estonia.

Central trade unions held a national convention on 6th March 2019 in Delhi, where they jointly addressed workers across India. Ahead of the general elections, 10 central trade unions, barring the RSS-affiliated Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, have demanded a national minimum wage, equal pay for equal work, an end to contract labour and a minimum indexed pension of Rs 6,000 per month, among others. The convention decided that they would place a “workers’ charter’ before all political parties and compel them to concretely express their stand on these issues. They demanded reversal of anti-workers policies and formulation of alternative pro-worker and pro-people policies, whichever government comes to power at the centre.
Mugilan, the Coordinator of Tamil Nadu Environment Protection Movement, went missing on February 15 night while travelling from Chennai Egmore railway station to Madurai. Earlier that day, he had conducted a press meet accusing two senior police officers of being complicit when miscreants torched government vehicles and destroyed CCTV cameras in Thoothukudi during mass protests against Sterlite Copper in May, 2018 in which at least 13 people were killed.
The working condition of railway trackmen are worsening day by day. Increasing number of trackmen are dying on railway tracks. During 2012 to 2016, there were on an average 600 deaths of trackmen every year. During 2017 to 2019, the number of deaths of trackmen every year on an average increased to 1000 which means every day 3 trackmen are killed while working on the tracks. These numbers are extremely shocking.
Textile workers and their families in Mumbai took out a massive rally in support of their right to housing and rehabilitation. Nearly 4000 workers participated in the rally. According to the decision of the Maharashtra government, only 17,000 mill workers and their families out of the total 1,71,000 mill workers and their families would be provided with houses. This means that the question of when and where they would be provided with housing remains a festering question that plagues the remaining 90 percent of workers and their families.
Hundreds of guest teachers protested on 3rd March 2019 in front of the residence of the Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Education in Delhi in support of their long standing demands. The immediate reason for their protests is that unlike in previous years when their contracts were valid till 10th May, this year their contracts have been terminated in February and the contracts have not been renewed, rendering over 25000 guest teachers jobless.
Health workers of Mumbai Corporation struck work on 28th January 2019 in support of their demands. For the past 20 years about four lakh health workers of Brihan Mumbai Corporation have been exploited by denying that they are employees. The Corporation has turned a deaf ear to their demands since 25th January 1999.
The crystal clear analysis given in this article is worth keeping as a touchstone for all analysis of the problem in the present and in the forthcoming times. It is an example of highly principled positions of the CGPI based on a pitiless analysis of the ground realities of India and the region, and on a detailed grasp of the historical realities that prevail in the region. Furthermore, the analysis is shorn of any chauvinism and also repudiates all the lines of bourgeois thinking on the matter.
100 years ago Ghadar Party was formed by Indians in the US.It was historic milestone in our anti-colonial struggle.
The goal of this party was to organise a revolution to liberate our motherland from British servitude and establish a free and independent India with equal rights for all. It believed this to be the necessary condition for our people to hold their heads high anywhere in the world.

Working class representatives from all over the country are gathering on 4th September, at a time when a titanic struggle is going on in our country. The struggle is between the majority of toiling and exploited people and a minority of exploiters. It is between the majority whose labour expands wealth and the minority who enjoy the fruits of wealth creation on the basis of their private property and positions of power.
The initiating speech, at the working class conference on the Way Forward held on 23-24 December 2011, was made by comrade Lal Singh, on behalf of the Central Committee of the Communist Ghadar Party of India.
