Condemn the brutal state organized attack on JNU students!

Statement of the Central Committee of Communist Ghadar Party of India, January 6, 2020

The Communist Ghadar Party condemns the murderous attack on students and teachers of Jawaharlal Nehru University on the evening of January 5. Goons armed with iron rods and lathis, their faces masked, entered the campus and unleashed savage violence and mayhem. Over 20 students and teachers, including both women and men, have suffered grievous injuries in this pre-planned, state organised attack.

Successful All India General Strike of workers

Workers and working people from all sectors of the Indian economy participated enthusiastically in the All India General Strike of January 8, 2020. They were responding to the call of the central trade unions, the All India federations, and to hundreds of trade unions organising workers in different cities, industries and services, and amongst the rural workers.

On 3rd January 2020, US President Donald Trump announced that US forces had killed Major-General Qassem Soleimani of Iran through a targeted missile attack on his convoy as it left Baghdad International Airport. Along with General Soleimani, General Abud Mahdi al-Muhandis of the Iraqi Army and eight other officials were killed in this attack. The cowardly killings of the leaders of the armed forces of Iran and Iraq on the soil of Iraq are a gross violation of all international conventions, as the US has not declared war on either Iran or Iraq.

Country-wide anti CAA-NRC protests continue

Country-wide protests against CAA

The protests that began in the middle of December post the signing of the Citizenship Amendment Act by the President on 12th December continued through the New Year and are still going on. In Delhi, Bengaluru and many other cities, the New Year was rung in with slogans of “No to CAA NRC!” “Students have a right to protest peacefully!” “We will not accept citizenship to be defined on the basis of religion!”

Repeal the CAA and NRC! - Mass protests and a meeting in London

Demonstration in front of India House in London

Ghadar International and Indian Workers Association(GB) held a public meeting against CAA (Citizens Amendment Act) and National Register of Citizens (NRC) on Saturday 4th January 2020 in Ilford. The meeting followed a 4 mile long protest march from Forest Gate to Newham in London. The march was attended by over 2000 people from many faith groups, progressive individuals and organisations. The march ended with a militant rally held at a park in Newham.

Capitalist prescriptions cannot pull the Indian economy out of crisis

The Indian economy has been in a crisis for a long time now. The crisis is reflected in growing unemployment, stagnation or even reduction in real wages of workers, and reduced consumption of goods by the working people. Major indicators of economic growth are the value of Indian goods and services produced and consumed in the Indian and export markets. The other is the capital investment in the economy by capitalists and the government.

Western Railway workers oppose private trains

Western Railway Mazdoor Sangh (WRMS) organised a protest on 10th January at Mumbai Central station to oppose the privatisation and outsourcing of Railway trains on outside the office of the Divisional Railway Manager. The meeting was addressed by J G Mahurkar general secretary of Western Railway Mazdoor Sangh (WRMS) and Vice President of NFIR (National Federation of Indian Railwaymen).

Meeting held in Mumbai to commemorate the 39th Anniversary of CGPI

The completion of 39 years of the Party since its founding on 25 December 1980 was celebrated on 29 December in Mumbai with joy and enthusiasm by the Party members, friends and family members. The meeting began with the Party song. The Regional Secretary welcomed everyone on behalf of the Party and said it is a matter of pride to see that as the Party is getting older the average age of the party members is coming down

History of Ghadar PartyA Presentation of Communist Ghadar Party of India

100 years ago Ghadar Party was formed by Indians in the US.It was historic milestone in our anti-colonial struggle.

The goal of this party was to organise a revolution to liberate our motherland from British servitude and establish a free and independent India with equal rights for all. It believed this to be the necessary condition for our people to hold their heads high anywhere in the world.
