Government’s role is to guarantee the profits of the capitalists!

I read the article that called for exposing and resolutely opposing the anti-worker and anti-national privatization policy of the government in the February 1-15 issue of Mazdoor Ekta Lehar.  The reader got to know the conspiracy hatched by the government in its efforts to privatize Air India.

Today, the government is fully pre-occupied with the effort to privatise Air India. In this context, the workers of Air India have not been paid their wages for several months. They have been denied their allowances. This is being done to make the workers give up their jobs in despair and quit Air India and this will open the door to its privatization.

It was under the leadership of Manmohan Singh that the policy of globalization through privatization and liberalization was launched. The aim was to propel the Indian economy on to the world scale. This required that the wealth created by the people would be sold off cheap to the capitalists and the workers and peasants be looted to the maximum.

In the last 20 years, the bourgeoisie’s two main parties – the Congress and BJP have left no stone unturned in fulfilling the above aims of the bourgeoisie. Today, the Indian bourgeoisie has arrived on the world stage. On the other hand, the workers and peasants of the country are in dire straits.

Privatisation is anti-national. To support it in any way means supporting the Indian bourgeoisie.
