Representatives of peasants of Nohar division of Hanumangadh district of Rajasthan presented a petition in the name of Kisan Sangarsh Samiti to the Special District Magistrate. In the petition, the peasants have demanded that they be given the full quantity of water available in the Amar Singh Branch, Nohar Feeder and Sidhmuk Branch, so that they can save their wheat crop.

The peasants are arguing that they are not being given the water in the Nohar-Bhadra portion, due to which their crops are not getting irrigated. The peasants have warned they would be forced to take action if the supply is not restored immediately.

The peasant representatives were led by Lok Raj Sangathan’s Vice-President Com. Hanuman Prasad Sharma, Com. Om Sahu, Madan Benival, Samar Singh, Sahabram, Harnam Singh and others.

Working class representatives from all over the country are gathering on 4th September, at a time when a titanic struggle is going on in our country. The struggle is between the majority of toiling and exploited people and a minority of exploiters. It is between the majority whose labour expands wealth and the minority who enjoy the fruits of wealth creation on the basis of their private property and positions of power.
