The Kanpur Conference of India communists and patriots was convened on December 25, 2000, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Kanpur Communist Conference which resolved to the found the Communist Party on Indian Soil. This day also marked the 20th anniversary of the founding of our party, the Communist Ghadar Party of India. Our party took the decision to organise this conference at this time, to provide a common platform for all Indian communists to deliberate and develop the plan to bring the Indian working class to the centre-stage of political life today. We organised this Conference ass a step towards restoring the Unity of Indian communists in one party, as the main subjective condition for the victory of the struggle against the burgeoisie's anti-national and anti-social offensive, as well as for the victory of the revolution and socialism.

Call of the Central Committee of Communist Ghadar Party of India, 30th August, 2012

Working class representatives from all over the country are gathering on 4th September, at a time when a titanic struggle is going on in our country. The struggle is between the majority of toiling and exploited people and a minority of exploiters. It is between the majority whose labour expands wealth and the minority who enjoy the fruits of wealth creation on the basis of their private property and positions of power.
