On 8th October 2023, ASHA workers along with other workers held a massive rally at the HUDA Ground in Karnal district of Haryana. The rally was jointly organized by CITU, Khet Mazdoor Sabha, and ASHA Worker Union. Leaders of the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha also participated in the rally. Over 30 thousand – ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, mid-day meal workers, rural sanitation workers, building construction workers, watchmen, forest workers and agricultural workers participated in the rally.

Anganwadi workers step up their struggle for rights
The Anganwadi workers of Delhi are stepping up their struggle for reinstatement of 800 workers who had been terminated a few months back. These workers had been terminated for participating in actions organised by their union in defence of their rights.

Anganwadi workers in Delhi receive termination notices for participating in strike
Nine hundred and ninety one Anganwadi workers and helpers have been terminated until March 14, according to the submission of the Delhi government in the Delhi High Court. According to the Delhi State Anganwadi Workers and Helpers Union (DSAWHU), the notices received by workers state that their services are being terminated for being an “active part of the strike, agitation and dharna”.
