Protest over the death of workers in factory fire

On 22nd February 2024, a large number of workers took out a massive procession and protest in Delhi, from Civil Lines Metro Station to the Labor Commissioner’s office, under the leadership of Joint Trade Union Forum Delhi. The protest was organized to express anger over the death of workers in a factory fire in Alipur, Delhi and to re-highlight workers’ demands regarding safety at the workplace.

ASHA workers hold Massive Rally in Karnal, Haryana

On 8th October 2023, ASHA workers along with other workers held a massive rally at the HUDA Ground in Karnal district of Haryana. The rally was jointly organized by CITU, Khet Mazdoor Sabha, and ASHA Worker Union. Leaders of the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha also participated in the rally. Over 30 thousand – ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, mid-day meal workers, rural sanitation workers, building construction workers, watchmen, forest workers and agricultural workers participated in the rally.

Kisan andolan – Present situation and the way forward

Sixth meeting organized by Mazdoor Ekta Committee

“The mood among the kisans is one of great optimism…” said Baldev Singh Sirsa, of the Lok Bhalai Insaf Welfare Society. The Samyukta Kisan Morcha will carry forward the struggle for MSP for all crops and for the other demands, till they are realised, he said. Shri Baldev Singh Sirsa was the main speaker at the sixth meeting organised by the Mazdoor Ekta Committee (MEC) on the theme ‘Kisan andolan: Present situation and the way forward’. The Lok Bhalai Insaf Welfare Society is one of the members of the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM), consisting of over 500 kisan organisations, which is leading the all-India struggle of kisans.
