Workers in Tamilnadu vigourously celebrate May Day

The First of May, 2023 marked the centenary of the first ever May Day celebration in India. Exactly a hundred years ago, workers hoisted the red flag in Chennai (then known as Madras). May Day this year therefore assumed great significance for workers. It marks a century of united struggle of the working class of India for its rights, first against the colonial rulers, and since independence, against the Indian ruling class.

Third Congress Report
Towards the Rule of Workers and Peasants and a Voluntary Indian Union

This document entitled Towards the Rule of Workers and Peasants and a Voluntary Indian Union contains the Report of the Central Committee presented by Comrade Lal Singh, General Secretary of the Communist Ghadar Party of India, which was discussed and adopted by the Third Congress of the Party, held in January 2005.

This document also includes the Constitution of the CGPI which was adopted at the Third Congress. Two brief notes entitled “About the Communist Ghadar Party of India” and “The Genesis of the Communist Ghadar Party of India” which were approved by the Congress are included for publication.

The Resolutions adopted at the Third Congress and the messages of greetings of sister parties who attended the Congress are also included in this publication.

Second Congress Report:
Challenge facing Indian communists

This report entitled Preparing for the Coming Storms- Challenge Facing Indian Communists, presented by Comrade Lal Singh, General Secretary of the Communist Ghadar Party of ndia, on behalf of its Central Committee, was discussed and adopted at the Second Congress of the Communist Ghadar Party of India, held in October 1998. By decision of the Second Congress, this report has been edited for publication.

The publication also includes a Summary of the Proceedings of the Second Congress of the CGP , the Resolutions adopted by the Second Congress and the Messages of Greetings received from sister parties and organisations.
