France – port workers

Workers at the Fos and Lavera oil terminals at the port of Marseilles, France, held a 24-hour strike on August 20, 2010  Loading, discharging and berthing / unberthing were all severely affected during the industrial action.

Workers at the Fos and Lavera oil terminals at the port of Marseilles, France, held a 24-hour strike on August 20, 2010  Loading, discharging and berthing / unberthing were all severely affected during the industrial action.

The workers are opposing government plans to privatise state-run ports. Similar industrial actions had also been organised on July 27 and August 2, 2010.
