Sir,
Sir,
I am writing to thank you for carrying the revolutionary greetings from Com. Lal Singh, General Secretary of the Communist Ghadar Party of India on the occasion of the arrival of the New Year. In his message Com. Lal Singh has pointed out some of the salient features of the era in which we find ourselves. It comes at a time when there is a mass disgust with the prevailing state of affairs in the country. It comes at a time when the elected representatives and all the public Institutions find their credibility at a new low. It also comes at a time when there are mass demonstrations on various issues that concern the lives of the majority of the people. Com. Lal Singh points out that there is now widespread recognition that the programme of maximizing the GDP is one of outright loot and plunder of the resources of the country and the fruits of the labour of its toiling millions by a miniscule minority. The programme of liberalization and privatization that was launched in 1991 has now come full circle and its proponents, namely the big bourgeoisie stand exposed as do their principal political parties, namely the Congress and BJP. Com. Lal Singh also points out that we are at a time when the world imperialist-capitalist system is mired in irretrievable crisis and at a time when there is a definite threat looming of a massive world war, whose precursors have been the activities of the Anglo-American camp that has been orchestrating civil wars and regime changes across the middle East, and also in Latin America. Com. Lal Singh also points out that there are many opportunities in this era of crisis and calls upon principled Communists to say what is what, and also warns of the dangers of spreading illusions that the present system can somehow be saved. I would like to second his call that the year 2013 could be well the one in which our party may make headway in leading the working class in preparing the grounds for revolution and socialism.
Sincerely,
Narayan, Bangalore
