Ushering in change

I would like to congratulate the CGPI for heralding 2013 in an inspiring, revolutionary manner and extend revolutionary greetings to Comrade Lal Singh and all the comrades of the Party.

I would like to congratulate the CGPI for heralding 2013 in an inspiring, revolutionary manner and extend revolutionary greetings to Comrade Lal Singh and all the comrades of the Party. We have begun the New Year in India with violence, direct and subtle attacks on the working class that includes the misguided middle class, and worsening conditions of living for the vast majority of working people. I would like to commend the Party for exposing the false democracy of India. The big political parties claim to battle it out in the arena of "fair elections" every 5 years but as we can see they are all in the pockets of the capitalists, the Tatas, Birlas, and Ambanis whose brand names must be displayed on the banners of the parties instead of their election symbols! Why should our Constitution be written in stone? If our democracy were indeed healthy, then it would take into consideration the opinion of all its citizens, of whom the working class forms the majority. Instead, our Constitution was created by a handful of people, based on the Westminster system and has laws that regulate systems more than a hundred years old. Why does the state not update the laws and codes that are used to govern our country? It is clear that the state does not want to create relevant rights and guiding principles for our country because that would give us the citizens a way to demand our constitutional rights in their own courts. The CGPI has clearly exposed the farcical nature of our democracy and rightly said that we must all fight for radical reforms in the political process. The Party is at the forefront of the class struggle and has begun the New Year with the correct, well-thought out direction!
