Theimpending general elections givesa time for the working place to put forward its own agenda, as the politically charged climate affords an opportunity to ask some hardquestions. Indeed, these interviews have taken place at a time withthe two big bourgeois parties; the Congress and BJP have been exposedas being thoroughly bankrupt. It is also a time with the working classcontinues to face ever increasing hardship. I gather from the interviewsthat the following views have emerged.
that the working class should put up its own candidates andfight the big parties on agendas that face the common people,
that such candidates should be accountable to the people,
that the people should be informed that the big parties are a collectionof those who have looted the country, and they are nothing but kale angrez,
- that a new front should be opened opposing all the big political parties,
- that the agenda should be based on ensuring constitutional guaranteesto ensure accountability,
- that the nature of change has actually increased unemployment throughmodern technology, which is objectively weakening the working class,
- that there is the transcendence now of finance capital which is the dominant component of the economy,
- and there is a united sense that the working class must unite.
Based on these interviews it must be concluded that the times are callingfor the working class to come forward and put forth its own agenda as thecentre piece of discussion. I thank you for carrying these interviews.
