Pakistan has been plunged deeper into chaos and anarchy. The spiraling violence and instability in Pakistan today is a direct fall-out of the growing US imperialist presence and interference in this part of the world. The Communist Ghadar Party of India condemns the assassination of Benazir Bhutto. Politics of assassination serves only the imperialist and reactionary interests. It does not benefit any section of the people who are striving for freedom and social progress.

In recent times all sections of the people of Pakistan have been out on the streets in large numbers in protest against the anti-people policies pursued by their rulers. The US imperialists and their agents in Pakistan have been trying to manipulate events to ensure that their interests are safeguarded. The assassination of Benazir Bhutto needs to be seen within this context.
