These pilots are not paid the same wages as pilots who came from Air India, or the foreign pilots. Nor is there parity in work conditions. The Indian Commercial Pilot Association, representing 800 Air India pilots who were former Indian Airlines pilots before the 2007 merger, is leading this agitation.
