5 April 2011, Kanyakumari: While election campaign of the 3 fronts focus on the issue of corruption, what they are going to offer as free and projects they are going to bring, the campaign of Wilson focuses on rights of the people and how and when the workers and peasants will rule this country.  Comrades have prepared an audio CD containing key points and slogans of our Campaign and this was being played in various places.

Today campaign of People’s candidate covered various new places. Vigorous distribution of leaflets, discussions with people, speeches took place in every junction where people congregate. People listen to our speeches with great attention since it covers what concerns and issues they have in mind. Comrades went and met activists of Marapadi area, who took part in the “Which way for India?” rally and public meeting held at Nagarcoil about 20 years back organized under the leadership of the Communist Ghadar Party of India. These people were extremely excited to meet Com Wilson and other activists and whole heartedly welcomed them. They promised to mobilize the support of all people for Wilson’s candidature.

Today’s campaign ended with a meeting at Arumanai junction. Our speech was heard with rapt attention by the people who have gathered there. Our comrade explained how current system works and how corruption is part and parcel of this capitalist system. Since Independence, starting from 1947 corruption continues and has been growing in line with the growth of capital and monopoly. In 1948 Krishna Menon purchased Jeeps for the Army making money for himself in the process. TT Krishnamachari made money in the LIC scam. Many committees were set up by the government to study the issue of corruption. Many of them have stated “Nehru’s cabinet had many corrupt ministers, but the government has been shielding them”. In 1971 Nagarwala case involving 60 lakh rupees took place involving the office of Indra Gandhi. There were many such corruptions and looting of public property such as Antulay in Maharashtra, Import of Urea, Sugar, Palm Oil, Coal (by Jayalalitha), etc. Rajiv Gandhi was involved in corruption deals in the purchase of Helicopters and Bofors Tanks and made crores of Rupees.

All major political parties have a hand in corruption without any exception. In the Hawala case besides many congress party leaders, Advani, Yeshwant Sinha, etc. of BJP had received a share in the loot from the capitalists. In 1998, in Petrol Pump agency allocations BJP and RSS members were favoured by the BJP government. Bangaru Lakshman was video graphed to have taken bribe!

We are fully aware of the big list of corruptions Karunanidhi and Jayalalitha have done in Tamil Nadu.

It is estimated that the total Scam value since 1992 over the last 18  years is over 80 Lakh Crores of Rupees. It is estimated that Gandhi’s family alone has about 9 to 18 billion dollars, which is about 40,000 Cr to 81,000 Cr of Rupees of assets and properties stashed outside of India. Total black money that is held by Indian Capitalists and politicians in various Swiss and foreign banks is estimated to be of the order of 1.4 Trillion USD, which is more than what we all Indians put together produce value in 1 whole year – 1.3 Trillion USD! Speaker also pointed out that this amount is 13 times of our national debt.

Our politicians and capitalists claimed that corruption in India was due to License Raj and the liberalization will do away with corruption and bring in transparency and honesty! But the facts show that Corruption and scams have increased multi fold since Liberalization of economy!

Speaker very emphatically pointed out that the key beneficiary of corruption are the big capitalists, while the politicians who serve them have received a share in the loot. People should realize that all the black money that exists within and outside India, all belong to the people and has been taken out of their hard labour. We clearly see that corruption is part of the capitalist system itself and not merely an issue with few politicians and political parties. If we were to put an end to corruption, then we need to end the capitalist system itself from India. However none of the political parties who pretend to be opposing corruption, are interested in putting an end to the capitalist system except Communist Ghadar Party of India.

Then he went on to recall the terrible experiences of the people with DMK, ADMK and BJP alliances and their rule. He called on the voters to reject all the 3 fronts and vote for Com. Wilson who is standing to fight for the rule of workers and peasants.

Meeting ended with a clear message that only by fighting for the rule of workers and peasants, we can solve the major problems facing the people.
