On 15^th July, workers of electricity distribution companies (discoms) protested in front of the Superintendent Engineer’s office at the junction in opposition to the proposal of the Rajasthan government to privatise the Electricity Boards in Hanumangarh. Later, the workers submitted their demands to the Collector at his office.

Hundreds of garment workers in Chennai, under the leadership of the Garment and Fashion Workers Union, organized a day long protest action on July 22, demanding that the wage increase announced in February – around Rs 3,000 more than the average garment industry wages announced in 2004 – be actually implemented.

On 6th July 2014, a political meeting was organized in Delhi by Lok Raj Sangathan (LRS). Hundreds of people gathered outside the Israeli embassy in New Delhi om 13^th July to protest the barbaric genocide of Palestinians in the Gaza strip. This demonstration was organised under the banner of “Indian people’s solidarity with Gaza”.
