5 April 2011, Kanyakumari: While election campaign of the 3 fronts focus on the issue of corruption, what they are going to offer as free and projects they are going to bring, the campaign of Wilson focuses on rights of the people and how and when the workers and peasants will rule this country.  Comrades have prepared an audio CD containing key points and slogans of our Campaign and this was being played in various places.

On the second day of the election campaign at Kanyakumari, before beginning the work, all comrades gathered together and studied and briefly discussed the statement issued by the central committee of the Communist Ghadar Party of India.  All of them welcomed the contents of the statement which very clearly states what line communists must take at this time and during the elections. 

CGPI leaflet has explained the nature of the current system as rule of monopoly capitalists in the service of the capitalist class. If the problems of the people were to be resolved, then the workers and peasants of our country have to come to power. It has called on all workers and peasants to get organized to win the power from the hands of the self serving capitalists. These leaflets were received by the people with great enthusiasm.

From a very young age, Comrade WILSON has been actively involved in political work and social work and defended the rights of the working class. He has consistently fought plantation workers rights and livelihood in Kanniyakumari district in south Tamil Nadu.

Election campaign in Tamilnadu: 

In the wake of people’s uprisings in North Africa and West Asia, the Anglo-American imperialists are using the civil war in Libya as a pretext to intervene militarily. Towards this end, they have launched a campaign full of hypocrisy and exaggeration about the situation in Libya, to justify the ongoing military intervention.

The Union Budget was presented by the Finance Minister on 28 February 2011 against the backdrop of the severest crisis of credibility of the UPA government.  

March 23 marks the anniversary of the martyrdom of Shaheed Bhagat Singh and his comrades Sukhdev and Rajguru, at the hands of the British colonial rulers. The call of our martyrs – that the struggle shall continue as long as a handful of exploiters, whether foreign or Indian, continue to exploit the toiling masses – rings in the hearts of our revolutionary youth even today.

The National Advisory Council (NAC), headed by Congress Party President Sonia Gandhi, has released an Explanatory Note on the proposed National Food Security Bill, and asked for comments on this note from all interested parties by 15th March.  This Explanatory Note is in support of a draft National Food Security Bill that would give conditional entitlements of fixed quantities of rice, wheat or coarse grains at subsidised prices to ‘priority’ and ‘general’ category households.
