December 10 is marked the world over as Human Rights Day.  India, which is a signatory to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights signed on this day in 1948, is home to the most glaring violation of human rights.

 A series of high profile corruption scandals have rocked the political establishment in recent weeks, engulfing both the ruling Congress and its allies, as well as the main opposition, the BJP.

On December 10, 1948 the General Assembly of the United Nations adopted and proclaimed the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Since that time, December 10 is marked each year, by the working and oppressed people all over the world, as the occasion to assert their claim to the rights that belong to them as human beings and to pledge to continue the struggle for the realisation of these rights.

 US President Obama recently visited India to strengthen the alliance between the US imperialists and the Indian ruling class. This alliance is fraught with peril for the workers and people of India as well as for the peace and security of South Asia and the world.  It must be opposed by all forces interested in peace and the wellbeing of the peoples.

Hundreds of activists marched from Mandi House to Parliament, in New Delhi, on the morning of November 8, 2010, to protest against the visit of US President Obama to our country. A sea of red flags and banners marked the event jointly organised by the Communist Ghadar Party of India, the Socialist Unity Center of India (Communist), the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, the Lok Raj Sangathan, the All India Workers Council, CPDM, Delhi Shramik Sangathan and Janpaksha.

November 7 is the anniversary of the Great October Revolution in Russia.  On this day, for the first time in the history of mankind, the working class overthrew the rule of the bourgeoisie and established its own state power, the state of the dictatorship of the proletariat. 

Workers in France continued to stage massive protest actions throughout the month of October 2010, protesting against the move of the government to raise the minimum retirement age and the age for a full pension.

Call of the Central Committee of Communist Ghadar Party of India for 8th March, 2010

On the occasion of 8th March, 2010, the beginning of the centenary year of International Women's Day, the Congress Party led UPA Government is tabling the Women’s Reservation Bill as its gift to the women of India. The aim of this Bill is to create reserved constituencies for women in every Lok Sabha and state assembly election, as the way to guarantee that at least one third of seats in these legislative bodies are occupied by women. This move has been welcomed by many parties including the BJP and the Communist Party of India (Marxist).

US President Barrack Obama is scheduled to visit India in the second week of November, 2010.

This visit comes at a time when the US imperialists are getting caught in the mire of the war they have unleashed in Afghanistan and Pakistan’s border provinces, as a result of the heroic resistance struggle of the peoples.

September 7 witnessed a country-wide all day strike by the working class, a fitting action in response to the pro-capitalist policies of the government. About 10 crore workers participated in this strike in response to the joint call of the Communist Ghadar Party of India and various political parties, trade unions, youth organizations and others.
