What are the lessons that our people must draw from this calamity? It is that the big capitalists both in India and abroad will stop at nothing to get maximum profits by exploiting our people. It is that these capitalists use the state and all its agencies to facilitate their operations and to cover up for their crimes against the people. None of the organs of the state can be relied upon to get justice for the people from the capitalists.

On the night of 15 November 2024, at around 10:30 pm, a massive fire broke out in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (SNCU) of Rani Laxmibai Medical College located in Jhansi district of Uttar Pradesh. In this fire, 10 new born babies died on the spot. 16 children suffered severe burns. One of them died on November 18.

Illusion of change, to deceive the people
Presidential elections in the United States are mainly a contest between two parties – the Republican Party and the Democratic Party. The wealthiest capitalists in the country together contribute billions of dollars to the electoral campaigns of these two parties. While the result is promoted as an expression of the people’s will, it is in fact an expression of the will of the bourgeoisie, headed by the biggest monopoly capitalists.
The ruling class in the US has organised the victory of Donald Trump in order to create the illusion that things will change for the better.
