I have just read the article- Nurses are braving the COVID-19 crisis in the face of heavy odds. It is really shocking that those persons who are saving the lives of their fellow-beings are being ill-treated.

I stay in Dharavi, Central Mumbai, which is Asia’s biggest slum. Around 7 lakhs people stay here and the majority of them are workers and self employed persons. Many of the people staying here are daily wage workers and their livelihood depends on daily work. Their families are in their native places and they depend on these workers to send money home every month.

In the last week of November there was much excitement in the Indian stock market as Reliance Industries rapidly dethroned Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) which had a market capitalization or market value of about Rs 8 lakh crores and was the most valuable company in India.

The crystal clear analysis given in this article is worth keeping as a touchstone for all analysis of the problem in the present and in the forthcoming times. It is an example of highly principled positions of the CGPI based on a pitiless analysis of the ground realities of India and the region, and on a detailed grasp of the historical realities that prevail in the region. Furthermore, the analysis is shorn of any chauvinism and also repudiates all the lines of bourgeois thinking on the matter.

I am writing to thank you for carrying the Statement of the CC of the CGPI dated 10-1-2019 in the January 16-31, 2019 issue of MEL. This statement was issued to mark the 69th anniversary of the Indian Republic and was entitled `Times are calling for the Navnirman of the Indian Republic.’ The lessons herein are a guide to action.

Dear MEL Editor, I read your analysis of the recent elections in five states with great interest. I understand that the voting pattern reveals to some extent the growing anger of people. At the same time, it is the ruling capitalist class which has used these elections to install governments

The article represents the living experience of the party which develops both the theory and practice of Marxism-Leninism theory of scientific socialism based on dialectical materialism and class struggle. It is an application of these principles to the political and economic and social reality of India. It repudiates based on its scientific approach the bourgeois theory that India is divided into religious majority and minorities and that the India state stands are the arbiter between these divisions, but rather that the reality is that the Indian state is communal and is a legatee of the colonial state which safeguards the economic interests of the big bourgeoisie and that the state is an instrument of its rule.

The article entitled ‘100th anniversary of the end of World War I’ that carries the byline ‘Only the destruction of the imperialist system can guarantee a peaceful world’ in the Dec. 1-15, 2018 issue of MEL was extremely educative. CGPI has been consistently raising the consciousness of the working class through the principles of scientific enquiry, rather than let the working class depend on the bourgeoisie for its education, and resulting in its getting brainwashed. To this end, the CGPI and its activities remain partisan to the interests of the working class and the revolution.
