Letter to Editor: On the War against terrorism-II

As mentioned in the article “the government of Pakistan has refused to send its armed forces into Afghanistan”, this step is understandable given the experience Pakistan has had with the US. Every time Pakistan has allowed US to interfere within its boundaries or taken assistance from the US it has met with ill-fate. And now the US is ensuring that Pakistan is globally deemed a terrorist state, building the scene for something that needs to be dealt with as part of its “war on terrorism”. From Pakistan’s experience, one would think it wise to be wary of USA’s “friendship” judging from the way the US has repaid Pakistan for being an ally. If the Indian state were to evaluate the situation keeping in mind the security of its people and not the selfish expansionist interests of the bourgeoisie, it would be obvious that being an ally to the USA comes at a very high cost and will only lead to destruction and devastation of the region.
