The Joint Action Committee of Gurgaon, Bawal, Daruheda, and Rewari organised a rally in IMT Manesar on July 25, 2011 to mark the 6th anniversary of the attack on the Honda workers. More than 10,000 workers from various unions participated enthusiastically in this rally.

Marked as a "Day of Protest against Price Rise", June 23 saw various trade unions of Delhi stage a joint protest against price rise at Jantar Mantar. The unions demanded that the prices of the various petroleum products which had been hiked up by the Congress led UPA government be reduced.
The Indian bourgeoisie, in its drive to become a global power, is pushing ahead with its atomic power program and wants the government to carry out the necessary coercion and deception in order to implement it. But the popular opposition to these plans is gathering momentum.

The Greek government which did not have any foreign debt before it joined the EU in 2000, is now mired in debt. By 2009, the budget deficit stood at 15.7%, which is four times what is allowed by the EU and the external debt was 127% of the GDP. The primary reason for this situation was the easy credit offered to the Greek government by the "troika" of lending institutions, i.e., the IMF, European Central Bank and the European Commission.
