Militant Rally in London in support of kisan andolan!

Over a thousand people participated in a militant rally in London, UK on August 15th 2021. The protest rally was organised to express the support of Indian workers and students in the UK to the kisan andolan in India. Indian Workers Association (GB) was amongst many organisations participating in the protest rally. The protestors gathered outside the Indian High Commission in London.

76th anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

An unforgivable crime of imperialism against humanity

On August 6 and August 9, 1945, US Air Force planes dropped two atom bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki respectively.  This was the first and only time in history that weapons of such deadly capacity had been used to deliberately kill and wreak total destruction on such a large number of men, women and children.

Meeting on UAPA by Lok Raj Sangathan:

UAPA – a tool to crush all opposition to the present system of exploitation

The brutal and prolonged incarceration of political activists under the UAPA and the use of the NIA to repeatedly deny bail were some of the issues that dominated the discussion in a meeting on the UAPA, organized by Lok Raj Sangathan on July 25.  The proceedings were conducted online. The meeting was attended by a large number of youth and students, women, workers, kisans, political activists and human rights activists.
