Protest meeting on the 29th anniversary of the demolition of Babri Masjid

The struggle against communalism cannot and must not be seen as being separate from the struggle against the monopoly capitalist agenda of liberalisation and privatisation. The struggle against communalism must be directed against the ruling class and its trusted parties, including both BJP and Congress Party. It must be directed against the state which defends the dictatorship of the capitalist class over the toiling majority of people.

Condemn the murder of villagers by the armed forces in Nagaland! Repeal the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act!

There is no justification for the reign of terror maintained by the Government of India in Nagaland, Manipur, Kashmir and other places where AFSPA is operational. There is no justification for continuing with this colonial-era anti-democratic law. Striking the pose of a great statesman, Prime Minister Modi announced on 19th November that the three farm laws will be repealed soon. He apologized to the people of the country for not being able to convince some kisans about the benefits of these three laws. He claimed that these laws are especially for the benefit of small farmers, hiding the fact that they are designed to benefit monopoly capitalist companies. He promised to continue working “for the country”, while his government continues to work for the Tatas, Ambanis, Birlas, Adanis and other monopoly capitalist houses.

Protest action to mark the 37th anniversary of the genocide of Sikhs in 1984

As many as 19 different organisations participated in a protest demonstration and public meeting on 1st November at Mandi House, New Delhi, to mark 37 years after the brutal massacre of Sikhs in Delhi and other places in November 1984. The slogans on the main banner of the meeting were: “Unite in the struggle against Communalism and Communal violence!” and “An attack on one is at attack on all!”
