Public meeting to mark 32 years after the demolition of Babri Masjid

The protest was jointly organised by Lok Raj Sangathan, Social Democratic Party of India, Welfare Party of India, Communist Ghadar Party of India, Jamaat-e-Islami-Hind, Lok Paksh, Citizens for Democracy, Students Islamic Organisation, Mazdoor Ekta Committee, Purogami Mahila Sangathan, The Sikh Forum, CPI (M-L) – New Proletarian, United Muslims Front, and others. Representatives of participating organisations put forward their views on the issue and on how to take the struggle forward, to put an end to the politics of state-organised communal violence and communal division of the people.

40th anniversary of the Bhopal gas leak disaster

What are the lessons that our people must draw from this calamity? It is that the big capitalists both in India and abroad will stop at nothing to get maximum profits by exploiting our people. It is that these capitalists use the state and all its agencies to facilitate their operations and to cover up for their crimes against the people. None of the organs of the state can be relied upon to get justice for the people from the capitalists.

US imperialism once again gives its unconditional support to the genocide in Gaza

Exercising its veto power as a permanent member of the UNSC, the US blocked the passage of the resolution. This shows beyond any doubt that it is entirely due to the unconditional backing provided by US imperialism that Israel is able to continue with its criminal offensive against the Palestinian people.

Such acts of revenge only serve to spread hatred and enmity between people of different religious faiths. Fire in Jhansi Hospital:
The inhuman face of the current capitalist system

On the night of 15 November 2024, at around 10:30 pm, a massive fire broke out in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (SNCU) of Rani Laxmibai Medical College located in Jhansi district of Uttar Pradesh. In this fire, 10 new born babies died on the spot. 16 children suffered severe burns. One of them died on November 18.

Mazdoor Ekta Committee organized a meeting on the subject – Struggle for a dignified living wage – on 27 October 2024. Activists of workers’ organizations and trade unions from different states of the country participated in the meeting as also many teachers, advocates, workers, women, students and youth. Joint Arab-Islamic Summit demands immediate end to Israel’s aggression against the Palestinian people

The participants at this summit resolved to “mobilize international support to suspend Israel’s participation in the United Nations General Assembly and all its affiliated entities” and to “call on all countries to ban the export or transfer of weapons and ammunition to Israel”.

On the US Presidential Elections 2024:
Illusion of change, to deceive the people

Presidential elections in the United States are mainly a contest between two parties – the Republican Party and the Democratic Party. The wealthiest capitalists in the country together contribute billions of dollars to the electoral campaigns of these two parties. While the result is promoted as an expression of the people’s will, it is in fact an expression of the will of the bourgeoisie, headed by the biggest monopoly capitalists.
The ruling class in the US has organised the victory of Donald Trump in order to create the illusion that things will change for the better.
