The electricity workers of various sub-divisions of Haryana Power in all districts of the state held a joint demonstration on 23rd October 2015 against the government’s move to privatise power supply and to contract out the work of 23 sub-divisions. The workers also held meetings across the state.

A resolution against privatisation and contracting out work of 23 sub-divisions was passed at this joint demonstration. Addressing the demonstrators, the speakers opposed the increase in power rates and the fuel surcharge. They accused the state of buying power from private suppliers and of moving ahead with privatisation of power supply.
