Bihar teachers’ strike continues

The indefinite of over 33,000 non teaching staff of universities and colleges of Bihar has completed 49 days on August 18, 2010. The strike has badly affected teaching and examination schedules of all the colleges and universities in the state. Most colleges did not reopen after month-long summer vacation on July 1 and hence the admission of students to the three-year degree courses is yet to start there.

Leaders of the Bihar State University and College Employees' Federation asserted that any repressive measure adopted by the authorities would not break the morale of the striking staff.
